Licked by an Angel

this is a project i am working on for the adobe ADAA Contest coming up this may. the requirements for the contest is that you must be attending an art school and be a full time student.

so i was inspired by this piece, [link] and have only emulated the text part. everything else is going to be me, (obviously), but with no more inspiration. i am trying to go for a minor vector-grunge style.

the name was created by my friend who sits next to me. i was having trouble coming up with the name for the piece. i was thinking to myself, "what the hell do you name a piece for a contest?" he just looked at what i had (which was the gradient bg at the time) and said, "why don't you call it "licked by an angel?" i have a couple other names i wanted to use for it, but that name just sounded kind of out there and unique. so thats the name of my piece.

this piece is obviously not finished, however, i just wanted to show you guys what i have so far. any comments are welcome, since i will be submitting this into adobe and have it be judged by 10 judges who are industry guru's for my category.
