I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr
SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.

Motivation

So it's been a LONG time since I update a new journal. I think my last one was like nearly 6 months ago.

Just want to tell you guys that I once again have a girl friend and she has been inspiring me to do many things in life. Though we are long distance, its not that big of a deal and i think it helps with taking it slow in our relationship.

Anyways, I guess that's all I wanted to say. Be sure to check out my gallery within the next few months. I am sure it will be filled with more abstract art and more space illustrations (as that is her favorite genre of art i make).

It was a gift to my girlfriend, and although it looks really empty, I purposefully left it open for collaboration or a chance to put something there in the future.

Anyways, That's about it with my life. Infinarius, my art group that was created in march of 2012, has been on hold from my lack of inspiration. However, I am proud to see that people are interested in joining and that I am starting to get some new staff to help me run the group. I think things will be picking up more often in the next couple of months. If any one of you are interested in joining, here is the link to the group: [link].

Yeah I've noticed that when I stopped by RRS the other day, they are putting the focus on them more than the rest of the characters. Plus I really wanted to start the Monster School rp again when Dante said something about it but I saw that they changed everything on it on there. I know a site that is doing a good vampire rp, I would like to do another one also but I just can't get the motivation on how to start it up.

well, i found a cool wiki link called World of Darkness. That's a pretty cool vampire story I have been wanting to role play. I found out my gf likes LARP, so I think it would be cool to do a roleplay with her as well. I posted on CF as well, so if you want to get something going, I will check every day for new posts.

Yo yo! I think it's awesome that you have gotten you motivation back to keep up with your art and stuff. I've been a little behind on my writing but my new guy is trying to get me motivated to start back and I've been trying to get back in to RPing again but there's not a lot of sites that are that...exciting? I guess? Lol idk but anyway I hate that CF has gone quiet again, I thought it would be awesome to get that place back up and running again. I've noticed that RRS has mostly been quiet and a friend said that everyone on there is playing WoW or something but oh well.

CF is still active, I can easily clean the boards, but the lack of people makes it not fun. i would love to rp again, especially a good vampire one, I just can't stand the way joe role plays with jo around.
